Christmas Cheer Card Set
(Scraps of Elegance 'Christmas Cheer' Kit)

I am sharing with you today my last project with the Scraps of Elegance "Christmas Cheer" kit, which is this set of 3 Christmas cards, all using the Vintage Christmas 2 papers from Blue Fern Studios included in the main kit as well as different embellishments from the Elements and Floral Add-Ons.

I used a gold marker to color the metal accents from the kit to give them a tint of gold to go along with the papers and my ribbons.

I absolutely wanted to make a card in these non-traditional colours found on the sticker sheet from the kit.  I really love how my card turned out in pastel hues.

And my last card is all decked in gold and beige dabbed with white paint.

I am thrilled to announce that I will be staying on as DT member for the Scraps of Elegance kits in 2017!  I cannot wait to start creating with the January kit coming soon!!

Until then, here's a last look at the "Christmas Cheer" kit and its add-ons:

Christmas Cheer
(Scraps of Elegance "Christmas Cheer" kit & SIWAS)

Happy Boxing Day!!

I really hope that you had a wonderful Christmas full of happiness and cheer with your loved ones!!

I am sharing with you another Holiday-themed layout created with the Scraps of Elegance "Christmas Cheer" kit.

For the 2nd time this month, I am playing with the Scrap It With A Song December challenges.

This time I opted for their Christmas music option, We Wish You A Merry Christmas.
I think the inspiration is pretty obvious and need no more explanation. hehe

The SOE kit comes with a beautiful Christmas stencil which I used to trace some holly on my background.  I then colored it in and stitched the contours.

The photo documents a beautiful Christmas morning memory of my nieces with their Memere and Pepere (my mother and her partner).  What a happy family!

Merry & Bright
(SOE "Christmas Cheer" kit & CSI 220)

I'm back to share with you some more DT inspiration featuring the "Christmas Cheer" kit from Scraps of Elegance.

And this layout was inspired by Case File No. 220 from CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration!
What a fun challenge this was!  Click HERE to find out more!

The Scene: I loved this sweet image of yummy holiday treats.  I chose a Blue Fern Studios patterned paper from the kit that has clusters of bows, flowers, candy cane and bonbons that seemed perfect.

The Scheme: I used all the pretty pastel colours required.

Evidence: I chose to add use these clues - stripes, flowers, leaves, food accents (patterned paper), tag, and lots of holiday items.

Testimony: I used the word 'tradition' as inspiration in my journaling.  However, you can't see my journaling as it's written on the journaling card slipped behind the large photo, but this is what it reads: "One Christmas tradition I cherish the most from my childhood is to take a photo on Santa Claus' lap... and lo and behold, on our first Christmas together, Yves and I were lucky enough to get some pictures with the big jolly man himself (aka Uncle Euclide)!"

Here is a glimpse once again at the Scraps of Elegance 'Christmas Cheer' kit along with the Elements and the Floral Add-Ons!

Joy To All
(SOE "Christmas Cheer" kit & Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo Challenge)

I haven't posted in a week, but I have a good excuse!  I have been pretty busy creating with the brand new Scraps of Elegance kit called "Christmas Cheer" and am now ready to share with you a few of my projects, starting with this very 'magical' Wintery layout.

The "Christmas Cheer" kit features the Vintage Christmas papers from Blue Fern Studio, a couple BFS chipboard sets and lots of beautiful flowers and metal accents.  When I received the kit, I immediately thought of the Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo December challenge's 'Magic' mood board. Click HERE for more information on this challenge!

The image inspired me to use lots of metallic and sparkly colours on my chipboard to go along with the pretty gold and copper flowers available through the SOE Floral Add-On kit.

I went a bit crazy with the dabs of white paint over all my embellishments.

The kit comes with a set of 3 of these intricate Christmas baubles from BFS.

I didn't have a picture in my own collection to give this creative idea in my head justice, so I borrowed one from the internet.  This gorgeous print called 'Christmas Evening' is from Thomas Kinkade which you can see HERE.

It doesn't get any more magical and Christmasy than this!

Come back tomorrow to see more creations made with the Scraps of Elegance "Christmas Cheer" kit.

Christmas Vintage Cards Set
(Blue Fern Studios DT Reveal 3)

For my last Blue Fern Studios DT project, I created this trio of Christmas cards.

What is great about the Vintage Christmas collections' Greeting Cards and Holiday Cards papers
is that they are full of beautiful journaling cards and images, perfect for card making.

On this card, I used the Holiday vine and some Holly Sprigs chippies.

I also took a cream flower from the Soft Blossoms and turned it red using the Santa's Suit embossing powder.

On Card 2, you can see the leftover Dangled Flake from my A Wonderful Life layout shared 2 days ago.

These little leaves are the negative pieces from the Holly Sprigs.

I love all the beautiful vintage imagery from these papers.

Card 3 is set up on a misted and stenciled background.

You can see here that I added red gems on the Holly Sprigs.  The leaves were treated with Clover embossing powder and then dabbed with white paint for my signature white washing.

I cut a side of the Stars & Berries Frame, covered it in Snow embossing powder and added a touch of the new Vintage Gold glitter on the stars.

Blue Fern Studios products used:

Patterned Papers: Vintage Christmas 1 (Wonderland, Magical, Greeting Cards)
Vintage Christmas 2 ('Twas the Night, Holiday Cards)
Chipboard: Holiday Vine, Holly Sprigs, Dangled Flake,
Stars & Berries Frame, Leafy Page Accents
Flowers: Christmas Blooms, Soft Blossoms
Imagine Ink: Embossing Powder (Santa's Suit, Snow, Clover, 14Karat), Glitter (Vintage Gold)
