Beautiful Moments Together
(Kaisercraft March Challenge)

It's Easter and, among many other things, that means a 4 day weekend for me. I spent part of the 1st day of this well deserved break in my favorite place... my scraproom!

I was inspired by the Kaisercraft March Challenge which is this pretty sketch:

I decided to use an older collection from Kaisercraft which is still a favorite of mine with its soft flowery designs and woodgrain pattern... Rustic Harmony.

I combined the paper and stickers from Rustic Harmony with some Kaisercraft rub-ons, wood leaves and flowers.

'Harmony' is certainly a word that describes every moment that I spend with my partner Yves.  Last Fall, we did a photo shoot in the Autumn leaves and this is just one of many photos of that my friend Christine took of us.  I thought it matched well with this line.

Happy Easter to everyone who celebrate it!
Hopefully you have a long weekend like me and have time to get creative! :)

Dare to Dream Canvas & Butterfly Cards
(Scraps of Elegance Garden Gala Kit)

These are my last projects created with the Garden Gala Scraps of Elegance kit!

First of all, this is a canvas created on corrugated cardboard and using the Butterfly Card Kit included in the Elements Add-On.  I also added some extra Blue Fern Studios chipboard pieces.

I used some Imagine Ink embossing powders on the chipboard as well as on the sides of my canvas
to add some shimmer and texture.

I added some gold eyelets from my personal stash to adorn these darling butterfly tag images.

Love these flowers from Petaloo!

Next are 2 cards created with the same card kit inside the Elements add-on.

I kept these cards very simple.  I love the gold accents from the papers!

I really hope you have enjoyed all my Garden Gala creations!

Uniquely You
(Scraps of Elegance Garden Gala Kit)

I already shared 3 layouts created with the Garden Gala kit from Scraps of Elegance.
Well I have more to show you using this amazing kit!

I really love the way this layout turned out... this precious picture of my niece Daphne when she was little seems to match these Blue Fern Studios papers perfectly as well as the many flowers from the floral add-on kit.

I fussy cut a lot of the pretty butterflies from the BFS papers and I misted the chipboard and main silk flower with Lindy's Stamp Gang spray from the Color Add-On.

So sweet!!

Here's a reminder of what the beautiful February kit looks like as well as some of the add-ons I used:

Come back tomorrow and I'll show you my last projects created with this kit!

Epic Awesome Day
(Scrap Our Stash GDT)

My scrapbooking style lately seems to switch from one extreme to the next...
When it's not romantic shabby chic, it's bright and bold with lots of fun patterns.
It's like there's 2 different scrapbookers living inside of me!  hehe

As you can see, this layout came from my bright bold creative personae!

I created this layout as a Guest Designer for Scrap Our Stash!
This is the March Sketch + (3) Challenge.  Find out all the details HERE.

Playing along with this challenge enabled me to dig up some old stash
that I held on to, hoping for the right moment to use it. These are +3 choices:
List 1: Graphic Paper / List 2: Heidi Swapp / List 3: Ink

Papers used are from My Mind's Eye which includes the graphic paper behind the photo of my nieces.  I love graphic paper so that was an easy choice for me from List 1.

Out of List 2, I decided to go with Heidi Swapp Citron Color Shine spray on the background as well as the 'epic' epoxy sticker as part of my title.

List 3 was a bit more of a challenge, but I finally opted to add some subtle polkadot design using a Heidi Swapp stencil and walnut stain Ranger Distress ink. I also did some doodling and journaling with a brown marker.

I hope you will play along with Scrap Our Stash challenges!
I had endless fun while I was on their Design Team some months back,
and as much fun as a GDT this month.  Thank you SOS!

Sunshine Kisses
(Blue Fern Studios DT Reveal 2)

I'm back today with part 2 of my March Blue Fern Studios DT reveal!

As you may know, I'm from Canada and, in my part of the country especially, we have the longest Winters!  They always seem to drag on and on and on... So to warm myself up a little, I thought of using this adorable picture of my friends' daughters on a beautiful Summer day matched with the bright happy papers from the Frolic collection.

The beautiful blue background paper, Petits moments, covered in different shades of blue mist reminds me of a bright blue sky. I decided to combine it with cut out circles of the pretty butterflies from Dans le jardin paper. I love the combination of blue and yellow.

I chose Sunshine Kisses as my title, using the Sunshine piece from the Optimist Word Set that I colored in Buttercup yellow Imagine Ink embossing powder.

Surrounding the picture is the Floral Medley Frame on which I used a mixture of Seven Seas, Breeze and Azure embossing powders with added white paint. You can also see below the Mixed Media Poppies that I cut into 3 pieces to display across diagonally on my page behind the butterflies.

Lastly, I chose to add this sweet little heart and arrow from the Directions set... perfect to accentuate the adorable sisterly love between these two little girls!

Whether or not it's Winter where you are,
I hope I was able to bring in a little sunshine to your day!

Blue Fern Studios products used:

Paper: Frolic (Dans le jardin, Petits moments, Calling Cards)

Chipboard: Floral Medley Frame, Mixed Media Poppies
Directions, Optimist Word Set

Reminisce
(Blue Fern Studios DT Reveal 1)

I don't often go digging into my old stash of photos to scrap but for this layout, I went back in time!  I have very few pictures of me alone or with my family when I was a baby, and the ones that I do have are not of very good quality.  This one, however, is certainly a favorite of mine.

My layout features the brand new collection from Blue Fern Studios, Courtship Lane.

Slipped behind my family photo is the Princess Window which I've treated with 2 shades of Imagine Ink embossing powders, Ginger and Nutmeg.  I then lightly dabbed on some copper and white acrylic paint.

I did the same to this piece from the Leafy Page Accents set...

and fancy hinge from the Ironwork Accents.

Other chipboard used are the Reminisce word from Serendipity Words 2 and the Shabby Brick Bits which I each covered with Snow embossing powder.

If you hadn't already guessed, I'm the one in yellow with the bow in her hair. :P

Come back tomorrow for some more BFS inspiration!
