Sweet Cards Set
(Scraps of Elegance "Petals" Kit)

After creating 4 layouts with the Scraps of Elegance October "Petals" kit, I had enough leftovers to create a set of sweet cake and candy cards, mostly using elements from the BoBunny 'Sweet Moments' sticker sheet included in the main kit.

On card #1, I used this 'Enjoy Life, Eat cake' sticker to make a very yummy birthday card.

I added a Thank You sentiment to card #2 that is just as sweet with a candy jar and pretty bubble gum pink.

And last, but not least, card #3 would be perfect for a special friend on any occasion.

I have so enjoyed playing with this kit - it seemed to be made just for me!  I can't wait for my next Scraps of Elegance reveal time with the November kit which is just as sweet!

Again, here is the October "Petals" main kit with Add-Ons.

Histoire de Famille
(Scraps of Elegance "Petals" kit and SOS Challenge)

I'm back today to share with you a 4th layout using the "Petals" kit from Scraps of Elegance!

I was inspired to play along to this challenge from one of my old DTs, Scrap Our Stash.
You can find all about the November 15th challenge right HERE.

This sketch challenge has a very fun twist to it.  You have to also incorporate 3 items on your page, 1 from each column.  I decided to a few more...
List 1: Glitz (the Prima Druzy Stones are the perfect glitz element) and Glitter (from Imagine Ink)
List 2: Hero Arts white embossing powder on my chipboard.
List 3: Inkadinkado Flower Flourishes stamp (in very light olive green ink)

I have just one more project to share with you featuring the "Petals" kit.  Come back tomorrow to see it!

Remember This Day Card
(More Than Words MINI Challenge)

Another MINI challenge has been revealed at More Than Words and here is my creation inspired by it.

The MINI word for November is DAY!

You can check out more DT inspiration using the word DAY right HERE.
To play along, you have to include the word on a card, tag or ATC and share it on the More Than Words Facebook page by the end of the month to be eligible to win!

Now let's take a closer look at my card.

You may remember that my MAIN challenge reveal for More Than Words this month featured the same BoBunny "Genevieve" collection with the same colour palette.

I simply used my scraps to create this card.

I hope I have inspired you to play along!!

Our Story
(Scraps of Elegance "Petals" Kit)

One thing that we will all agree on... the October "Petals" kit from Scraps of Elegance is indeed very elegant!  It is perfect for wedding layouts, and so I made just that... a wedding page!

All the papers and die cut elements in this kit alludes to love and romance.

The floral add-on kit includes these new DIY white flowers from Petaloo that are perfect for coloring any colour you may want.  I found them so beautiful in their natural white that I used them in their bare form.

I created a lovely tiled background with the Blue Fern Studios Quatrefoil Panel piece and the Rossibelle Druzy Stones.

This fabulous picture is of my friend Nathalie with her beau on their wedding day!

If you want to see more of my Scraps of Elegance "Petals" creations, come back soon as I have 1 more layout and a set of very sweet cards to share with you.

Happy Feet
(Kraft+ & Berry71bleu November challenges)

I am super happy of sharing with you this layout inspired by 2 fabulous challenge blogs I regularly follow!  Let's see if you can guess which one!

By the kraft background, you probably guess that the first challenge blog was Kraft+.
This month's challenge is to take inspiration from something out of my closet.  Click HERE for more information on this challenge.

I have lots of different colored and style shirts in my closet that I could have used as inpiration, but when I took a glance at my pants, well, there is one predominant fabric that I could find.  Denim!  I wear jeans ALL THE TIME!  And it just so happened that I had this darling photo of my friend's son with his little feet dangling out of a pair of jeans.  I used a wooden title covered in denim, some denim brads, denim flowers as well as paper with a denim motif!  Is that enough denim for you!?

As far as the other challenge blog that inspired my page, well, the hint is in the colour!  There is several shades of blue on my layout with some emphasis on navy blue with all the denim elements. And who has a navy blue inspired challenge this month?  None other than Berry71bleu!  Take a look at the mood board and find out more information about the challenge right HERE on the blog.

(PS: I remembered after having completed my layout that one of the Kraft+ rules is that they do not allow combining with other challenges, but that is ok.  I am so happy about how my page turned out.  Both challenges seemed to be a perfect match this month!)

Let's take a closer look:

The last time I was at Michael's Craft Store, I bought this denim-covered wooden title and just knew I had to have it!  It could have turned out better for this project.

I created the 'feet' cut file myself and cut it on my Silhouette machine.  You can see that I added different mists and stenciled in some stars with blue paint on my background.

These denim flowers and brads have been in my stash for quite a while... I was waiting for the perfect time to use them.  I didn't have to wait any longer!

I really like the kraft and navy blue colour combination.  And how about this cute picture uh?

I have to say that this is a new favorite layout of mine.  Thank you to Kraft+ and Berry71bleu for the creative inspiration!!

To Be Happy
(Scraps of Elegance "Petals" Kit)

It's time to reveal to you another one of my creations using the Scraps of Elegance "Petals" kit.

This kit includes a combination of Kaisercraft, Couture Creations, BoBunny, Blue Fern Studios, Prima, Petaloo and more... so many pieces to work and play with!!

I had fun using all these Kaisercraft die cuts (and fussy cutting some more out of the papers) to create this collage of inspirational quotes for my page... all part of my recipe 'to be happy'.

I used 3D foam squares to pop some of them up for added depth.

The kit comes with a white Ranger Distress Crayon which I've used to soften up some parts of my page, paper as well as embellishments.

Well, thank you for visiting today!  There will be more Scraps of Elegance shares over the next couple days so I'm hoping you'll come again!

Wonder Big
(Blue Fern Studios DT Reveal 2)

I am back today to reveal another DT project for Blue Fern Studios.
This one is as masculine as yesterday's was feminine.

I started off with some vintage Paisley & Vine papers to go along with this more masculine theme.

The title was taken from the Wish Wonder Dream set which I covered with Blue Sky embossing powder.  I added some Lightbulbs covered with Sand & Sea.

The lightbulbs were inspired by the fabulous November challenge at Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo!
I just couldn't resist this very original challenge.  Click HERE to find out more!

Again, I divided a longer piece of chipboard into 2 pieces, this time a piece of the Printer's Bits to fit vertically above and below my photo. On this piece is the Ruby embossing powder which I dabbed with a little bit of brighter red acrylic paint.

Some more of the Printer's Bits layered over the Triangle Eclipse covered in Stellar Night and dabbed with brown paint. On the background paper, I stamped the netting design from the Essential Textures stamp set.

Yes, you've seen this little cutie before... he is  my friend's son, Tristan.

Thank you for joining me these last 2 days!
